Position: Rehabilitation Technician

Salary: Competitive, Up to $18 per hour

At Cypress Garden Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to our residents. We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Rehabilitation Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities:

As a Rehabilitation Technician, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our residents. Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting supervised floor ambulation for residents as prescribed by the rehab department and medical professionals.
• Administering AAROM/PROM exercises to residents as indicated.
• Maintaining cleanliness and sanitization of all equipment and surfaces used in the functional maintenance program.
• Assisting with transferring residents in and out of wheelchairs as part of their functional maintenance routine.
• Collaborating with nursing staff to ensure proper application and removal of splints/braces according to MD orders and schedules.
• Promptly reporting any observed inconsistencies, functional changes, or skin integrity issues to the nursing manager and rehab director.
• Accurately documenting FAP distance and level of assistance in the EMR on a daily basis.
• Conducting group wellness exercises with residents on the units under the guidance of the Rehab therapy staff.
• Fulfilling other duties as assigned by the Rehab director.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Preferred, but not required: HHA/CNA certificate.
• Mandatory: COVID-19 vaccination.
• Ability to push/pull a minimum of 50 lbs.
